Pioneer Career And Technology Center Elects Board President, Vice President

Jan 20, 2021 The Pioneer Career and Technology Center Board of Education met January 13, 2021 for an Organizational Meeting. The Oath of Office was administered to reappointed members Mary Jean Theaker and John Kime. Douglas Theaker was elected as Board President for 2021 and Richard Prater was elected as Vice-President. Mike Grady was appointed as the Legislative Liaison for 2021 and Mary Jean Theaker as the Student Achievement Liaison. Bill Hope, Margie Prater and Douglas Theaker were appointed to the Finance Audit Committee. The Board of Education established the date and time of the regular board meetings as the 3rd Monday of the month, 7:00 pm in the Community Room located in the Glenna R. Cannon Administrative Center at Pioneer.

Jennings BOE sets up Sakemiller scholarship Saturday, January 16, 2021 12:25 AM Musketeer FORT JENNINGS The name of a long-time Musketeer educator, guidance counselor, principal, coach and athletic director will live on in Fort Jennings through the Thomas Sakemiller Memorial Scholarship approved Wednesday evening by the Fort Jennings Board of Education. Beginning in May and each year forward, one Fort Jennings student will receive a $750 award. Sakemiller served 42 years at Fort Jennings High School. He worked 35 years as a social studies teacher, counselor and principal. The following is from Attorney General-elect Knudsen’s release regarding the appointments: Motor Vehicle Division – Laurie Bakeri – Ms. Backri is originally from Helena; she received her degree from the University of Montana in elementary education. After teaching middle school for several years, she ventured into the private sector.  Starting in a single learning center, she then progressed over 17 years to oversee high quality programming and efficient operations for national and international learning centers. Most recently, Ms. Backri has served as the Business Services Supervisor in the Secretary of State’s office.
