Legacy Queensland has been forced to sell its Brisbane headquarters, with public donations sliding by $1.4 million after volunteers stopped collecting donations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The veterans charity provides financial, emotional and housing support to almost 7000 Queenslanders who are related to deceased war veterans.
Legacy Queensland chief executive Brendan Cox outside the charity’s South Brisbane headquarters, which has been sold because donations in 2020 slumped by $1.4 million.

Legacy Queensland has been in Fish Lane in South Brisbane, where it is close to trains and buses for their volunteers to get to the office, for almost 25 years.
