witnesses are giving us differing descriptions. one said there was a party going on, a luncheon for youtube employees going on inside the building. there were some reports that may be some shots were fired at or near this luncheon venue. then we heard at least two, including the man you just saw, possibly more witness reports that this spilled out into the parking lot at some point. it is unclear of that woman who made her way over to the carl s jr. with the leg wound, he leg gunshot wound was in the building or in the parking lot. the employee says he was in the bathroom. when he came out, she was already inside the restaurant, the carl s jr. where she was when she was shot would be a very good indicator because that s the first person, the first witness who talked to one of the victims. we have stringers of the various hospitals. they are telling us they have seen at least two or three

did you have armed officers with you here? yes. we did. steve scalise is the whip, so he has a security detail. two of his detail were shot. one african-american gentleman shot in the leg and i believe he s the one that brought the shooter down. he ran around for quite a while with the leg wound, returning fire. and then after i got out, i was the first out to steve and then brad and another member from ohio, who is a physician, came out and we applied the pressure on the wound. he seems okay to you? yeah. he was coherent the whole time. but, boy, he laid out there for at least ten minutes alone in the field. we couldn t get to him while there were shots. did the shooter say anything? not that there was a lot of yelling going on, but to tell you the truth, some of the other members had different angles, so they may have heard him yell something, but i didn t.
