Results from a pivotal clinical trial found a leadless pacemaker can deliver cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) among patients who were not able to be treated with conventional CRT and epicardial leads. The novel WiSE CRT system removes the possibility of lead complications and provides physicians with more freedom to target the pacing site within the endocardium of the heart’s left ventricle when implanting the device.
