George Wagner IV is charged with eight counts of murder with death penalty specifications and several other charges connected to the deaths of eight members of the Rhoden family in 2016.
In April 2016, eight members of the Rhoden family were found shot to death in their homes "execution-style." The crime scene spanned multiple family homes throughout the area; Seven family members were found dead in three different homes on Union Hill Road in Piketon. The eighth victim was found within a 10-minute drive of the others. Three children were left alive inside the homes.
Jurors for the first trial in the Pike County murder case were loaded onto buses and taken to where several members of the Rhoden family were found shot to death in 2016.
