BELLINGHAM, Wash. A Whatcom County man faces charges for shooting his brother in the foot.
Court documents state that Joshua C. Stroud and his brother were arguing outside a home on Leeside Drive on April 30th.
A witness told deputies that Stroud pulled a small handgun and aimed it at his brother’s chest, then fired it toward the ground.
The bullet hit the brother’s left foot near his big toe.
Officers pulled Stroud over on Grandview Road and took him and a woman who was with him into custody.
Stroud is a convicted felon and is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm in addition to an assault charge.
