We’ve got another beautiful weekend ahead of us here in Lake County, so get out and enjoy all the events we have to offer.
Spend some time under the stars with two outdoor movies, support local with the Leesburg Night Market and the Ocklawaha Arts and Crafts Fair or enjoy the day with an old-fashioned field day.
Here’s what’s on tap:
Movie Under the Stars
Grab a blanket or a chair and enjoy a family-friendly movie under the stars on Friday at 8 p.m. at Clermont Waterfront Park. This month will feature “Ugly Dolls.”
The event is free.
This weekend is your last chance at some of the most wonderful times of the year with holiday events offering everything from last-minute Christmas presents to breakfast with Santa. Plus, enjoy old-fashioned Christmas carols, festive drive-thru and jog along Santa in the Mount Dora 5K.
Here’s what’s on tap:
Christmas at the Market
It’s a holiday extravaganza at Renningers Flea Market, 20651 US Hwy 441 in Mount Dora, this weekend with their gathering of vintage and crafts themed for Christmas decorating, entertaining and giving.
Food and goodies will be placed throughout the market as Christmas comes to life and Santa will make a guest appearance in his special arrival.
Leesburg Night Market returning Friday

LEESBURG Leesburg Night Market is returning Friday.
The market, sponsored by the Leesburg Center for the Arts, will make its return debut under the leadership of the new market manager, Joel Padilla, who has big plans for the upcoming season. Although it’s getting started back a little later than expected, Padilla is hoping to bring a unique experience for those last minute holiday shoppers.
“We really want to make it about the people in our community,” Padilla said. “A market is the staple of a community. We are bringing in more vendors with items that you can’t find anywhere else. Plus we want people to explore downtown Leesburg.”
