The fruits of Kelly s Save the Boards to Memorialize the Movement initiative now fill a 1,000-square-foot room. I just was heartbroken and experiencing a lot of trauma and I needed to do something, Kelly told KARE. Kelly said she was drawn to the murals that were displayed across the city in the midst of the unrest that grew after Floyd died in Minneapolis police custody on May 25, 2020.
