costello. thank you for coming in on this. we have this leer jet believed to be carrying about eight people and as we have reported time and time again on these sich weigh situation, they have a landing gear problem. it s a leer jet 45 is what we re told and that means it s probably at least 15 or 20 years old at the oldest. not necessarily an old plane at all. it s used widely in corporate america and for those who travel by private plane, and what we are told is that there appears to be a landing gear trouble with the nose, with the nose gear. and so, the pilot is trying to ascertain how serious that situation is with the gear or the door to open up and allow the gear to come down. his or her challenge now is to determine whether that gear is solid enough to make that landing and put pressure on the nose gear and then come in for a landing. if it is not, if he or she determines it is not, that s

okay. they re usually very good at landing on the back landing gear if you will, the back tires and then gently putting the nose down and then keep that nose up as long as they can until they if necessary have to just gently slide down on the concrete. that is why you saw those images of emergency vehicles standing by on the ramp. we re told the fire department is there, rescue personnel as well as medevac and ambulances are standing by. eight people on board this plane went we don t yet know where that plane was coming from. there s reporting about that and working to clarify and make sure we have it all. there was some early suggestion that this was a military plane and we are told it s definitely not a military plane. it is a leer jet 45. rather common in the corporate world. tamron? we are trying to get more information, tom, on who owns this particular plane or who it s registered to and working
it looks like you have emergency fire department. it s kind of a long shot but kind of a yellow orangish color and i think that those are emergency vehicles and i think they have surrounded a plane there. yeah. keep in mind, a small plane. not a big plane. not a boeing or an airbus. sure. but it looks like they surrounded the plane and doing their due dill yens to make sure that there isn t any risk, no fire risk or what have you. yeah. we re told because to your point the vantage point is cloudy, murky, if you will. the folks in the control booth saying they can see it clearly an appears to be an aircraft surrounded by we know that the yellow vehicles are emergency vehicles because we saw them lined up waiting for the arrival of the aircraft and surrounding still now one point. i think jim made a good point, tamron. if you re a lear jet pilot, they re expensive planes. it s not a cessna. the chances are whoever owns
