1일 제20대 대통령선거 출마를 공식 선언한 이재명 경기도지사의 얘기다.
이 지사는 1964년 경북 안동에서 빈농의 자식으로 태어났다. 2명의 누나를 먼저 여의면서 5남 2녀 중 다섯째로 태어난 이 지사는 안동에서 초등학교를 졸업한 뒤 경기 성남시로 이사했다.
그는 가난한 집안 탓에 일찍이 생업 전선에 뛰어들어야 했다. 친구들이 중학교에 진학할 때 이 지사는 성남 상대원 공단의 공장을 전전하며 소년공으로 일했다.
