There were 10 new cases of the virus reported by the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit on Thursday, offset by an equal number of people who recovered from COVID.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 doubled on Tuesday as the local health unit reported 16 new cases of the virus.
There were six patients in hospital and three of them were in intensive care with one person requiring a ventilator, the health unit reported.

In all, there were 74 active virus cases in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark, which is an increase of six because 10 people recovered from COVID during the same time as the new cases were recorded.
