I see that as a feature, not a bug in our system of government. You help the president fight for his share of the turf based on article to authorities. Each branch takes care of what it has to do to defend its own boundaries. It makes it easier to just everyone will see everything through the lens of today, not 10 years ago or 10 years from now. I represented a lot of people in the u. S. Senate. They really love that they have a big say in picking who is on federal courts but in the constitution the president makes the nomination with advice and consent of the senate. The question when mike lee speaks, what about the stuff the senate has come up with over the years, Institutional Senate prerogatives where the constitution refers to the senate but is a subset of the senate.
