Global Secure Accreditation (GSA) has appointed Lee Whiteing, former head of global travel operations for HSBC, as commercial director.
Whiteing will join the hotel security accreditation organisation on 1 April. In the new role, he will engage with corporate travel teams and suppliers about their traveller safety and security priorities.
Whiteing held a number of roles over 27 years at HSBC. While heading up travel operations, he oversaw the consolidation of travel agencies from 23 globally to two, and overhauled travel policy with a customer-first ethos that yielded high traveller satisfaction levels.
