According to the Fox West Texas website, a Brownwood man was arrested Saturday after leading law enforcement officers on a high-speed chase through Cisco.
Fox West Texas cited a Cisco Police Department press release that states on Saturday, Jan. 16, CPD Officer Nicole Butler received a call of a reckless driver entering the city limits on Hwy 183S.
The vehicle was found and the driver led officers on a high-speed chase through the area. It eventually came to a stop when it crashed into the side of a local doughnut shop, the release said.
Cisco Police Officer Clint Hauck and Sgt. Lee Risdon arrived to help Butler take the suspect, identified as Matthew Dylan Power, of Brownwood, into custody. The vehicle Power was driving was damaged extensively; however, there was no damage to the business.

On Saturday January 16, 2021, Cisco Police Officer Nicole Butler received a call of a reckless driver entering the City Limit on Hwy 183 South. The vehicle was soon located and the driver led officers on a high speed chase through the area and eventually came to a stop when it crashed into the side of a local donut shop. Cisco Police Officer Clint Hauck and Sgt. Lee Risdon arrived to assist Officer Butler in taking the suspect into custody.
The vehicle he was driving was damaged extensively; however, no damage was sustained to the business. Officers from the Eastland Police Department, Eastland Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with the pursuit and apprehension of Matthew Dylan Power of Brownwood, Texas.
