Working alongside First Step CEO
Tom Knight, Weeden will lead all program operations as the mental health and substance abuse nonprofit continues to evolve.
She has over 20 years of behavioral health experience. She was previously First Step s chief inpatient services officer, handling numerous responsibilities including its state-funded and fee-for-service programs for adults and adolescents, multidisciplinary team recruiting, staffing and training.
She also supported the execution of First Step s recent Behavioral Health Response Team, a successful pilot program that diverts people experiencing severe mental health crises from law enforcement, first responders and school employees.
Before working at First Step, Weeden led an independent psychotherapy practice in Massachusetts.
