27-year-old Lauren Arris Cartwright has permanently moved from her home of Belfast to Bolton in unusual circumstances. Lauren originally arrived in Bolton for a weekend trip with only a small bag of belongings, but has now decided to stay after landing a new career. She originally flew in from Belfast to visit boyfriend of three months, Dan Penrose, and was due to fly home the day after lockdown began, cancelling those plans. Every other attempt to return to Northern Island was foiled by lockdown restrictions. Lauren had only visited Bolton once before this occasion, in November 2019, where she met Dan at a friends wedding.
