Think about all the things we heard this morning about some of the problems, some of the challenges that need to be addressed in fragile states. Governing institutions need to become more accountable. We have to work on ways to build inclusiveness. Tackle the problem of marginalization and exclusion. Figure out how to empower youth. To take leadership roles. The importance of enabling Civil Society to be an important part of cementing a stronger state society relationship. These are all dimensions of governance in one way or another. And this is one of the central challenges of transforming fragile states to be more resilient.
