South Korea picks new nuclear envoy to work with North Korea and the US

South Korea announced the country’s new nuclear envoy on Monday. The envoy will work as a counterpart to U.S. Secretary Deputy of State Stephen Biegun and will be in charge of diplomacy related to North Korean denuclearization.
Noh Kyu-duk, a top presidential Blue House official, will replace Lee Do-hoon as the special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs, Seoul’s foreign ministry said.
