Dry spell, but a lot of the rain coming down in three hours time brought the Guadalupe River up fast. You can see the grasses here pushed down as that water level rose about two to three feet higher than it is now. It got right about where this rock is here. Even though the rain has backed off, the water is still moving fast. As is typical when you get a storm that drops 1, 2 inches of rain, you get a lot of debris in the creeks. And it changes the flow of the streams and creeks. With that in mind with the forecast for potentially several inches of rain, all the problems we saw play out along the Guadalupe River could play out along a much larger area.
