Mar 9, 2021 Leary Simon A Santa Elena man was shot in Belize City on Sunday. Police say that Leary Simon was on Reggae Street when he was targeted.  At this time the authorities are trying to verify if his shooting is connected to another gun related incident in the west.   Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, national Crimes Investigation Branch “Police visited the KHMH where they found Leary Simon, twenty-seven-year-old Belizean of Santa Elena Town with gunshot injury to the body. Initial investigation reveal that he was on Reggae Street when he was approached by a male person who fired one shot at him causing his injury. He is presently at the K.H.M.H. in a critical condition.”
