CAMFED Ghana, a pan African movement, committed to the development of girls, children, and women, has supported 60 young women entrepreneurs with start-up kits, specialist equipment, and training.
The items distributed include display fridges, ovens, milling machines, juicers, hairdryers, and textile and embroidery machines.
The young women were also given training in business management, packaging and branding, business registration, and bookkeeping.
The support is to enable the beneficiaries launch or grow their businesses in the year, 2021.
A statement issued by CAMFED Ghana, copied to the Ghana News Agency, said as global events continued to impact economies in Africa and around the world, it was important that school graduates were helped to support themselves, their families, and communities by creating jobs and prosperity.
