Protesters gathered Wednesday night to call out the Oak Lawn Police Department in response to yesterday's court decision to only fine and assign community service to the driver who killed Murod Kurdi last June.
Murod Kurdi, 28, died in June after being hit by a motorist who told police she’d been drinking. She refused a Breathalyzer and was ticketed at the scene and released.
