Poncha Springs Board of Trustees appointed newly elected members, mayor Ben Scanga and trustees Michael Coleman, Tina Perri-Mundy and Leann Olson during their regular meeting April 23.
Election for three Poncha Springs trustees and the mayor will be April 2. There are seven candidates for the three vacancies and only one for the mayor, incumbent Ben Scanga.
Chaffee County Economic Development Corporation will host a candidate forum for both the Poncha Springs and Buena Vista trustees from 5:30-7:30 p.m. March 13 at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs
The new event is designed to honor Adams first-responders with all proceeds from vendor fees going toward them.. We feel as though they do so much for us and no one really gives back to them, Chairman of the Adams Street Fair Committee Joe Martin said. This is our way of thanking them. I know the Police Department likes to give scholarships and the Fire Department needs equipment, he said. And they deserve it because they were out there during this whole COVID thing risking their lives and their family s lives. The committee is co-chaired by Leann Olson O Brien.
