Western Ontario Super Hockey League Hopes To Debut in Fall

Strathroy, ON, Canada / 105.7 Strathroy Today Apr 16, 2021 8:51 AM The Western Ontario Super Hockey League is hoping to launch its first season in the fall. League President Jamie Petrie says the origins of the WOSHL stem from a group of people who love competitive hockey at the Junior age level. Age 20 is the entry level for players in the WOSHL. The demographic tops out around 27 even though there isn’t an age cap. Pandemic permitting Petrie expects camps to begin after Labour Day with teams hitting the ice in October. The shots are called by Petrie who is the president and each team including the Alvinston Killer Bees and Strathroy Jets has a vote when it comes to league decisions. The league is not governed by the Ontario Hockey Association or Hockey Canada.
