Israels Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has warned his country will use enormous force against the Hamas Militant Group as the conflict enters its fourth day. It comes as israels Defence Minister ordered a complete siege of the gaza strip, cutting off food, electricity and water supplies. Almost 690 people have lost their lives on the palestinian side while around 900 people have now died in israel. Hamas insurgants are now threatening to start killing hostages, if israel carries out more strikes without warning. 0ur International Editor jeremy bowen reports. Good morning and welcome to bbc news. The leader of the scottish conservatives, Ruth Davidson, has told critics of the Prime Minister to put up, or shut up. Her intervention came after cabinet members rebuked the former Party Chairman grant shapps after he claimed around 30 mps wanted a leadership contest. Ms davidson is viewed by some as a potential contender. This morning, borisjohnson became the latest senior party figure to comment on the rumours, telling a messaging group of conservative mps that they should get behind the pm.
