Help Control Weeds and Uncut Grass

Help Control Weeds and Uncut Grass Chapter 10.03 of the Waupaca Code of Ordinances requires property owners in the City to keep up their lots by controlling and cutting noxious weeds and high, uncut grass. Noxious weeds in our area typically are Canada Thistle, Leafy Spurge and Field Bindweed (Creeping Jenny). All grass over 12” in height must be cut. The City Building and Zoning Department, (715)942.9914, is charged with enforcing this ordinance. The process they will use consists of placing a red door hanger on your house or business entrance. This hangar is a WARNING only and tells you that the city is monitoring your property. Owners of Vacant property will be notified by mail. We typically give the owner about 7 days to correct the situation.
