NDP Wants Decision Now On Potential Thunder Bay Lockdown Made Soon

File photo The NDP is suggesting the government should be making a decision, sooner than later, about a potential lockdown in Thunder Bay. Andrea Horwath says a decision won’t be made until Friday. “Two cabinet meetings…three studies…three days of delay,” says Horwath. “Is this what an emergency break looks like to this government? Is this what the people in Thunder Bay deserve when they are in crisis?” Meanwhile, PC House Leader Paul Calandra is taking the NDP to task for wanting to speed up the process. “I’m surprised, and frankly shocked, to learn the leader of the opposition now is suggesting we not listen to these people. We will continue to work very closely with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, with public health officials across the province, including Thunder Bay, to ensure all the people of this province remain safe,” says Calandra.
