Isle Of Wight NHS Trust Urges Islanders To Get Checked If Showing Signs Of Cancer

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is urging Islanders to get in contact with their GP if they are showing signs of cancer - after the Trust saw a 25% drop in referrals to cancer services.
Both Dematology (skin) and Urology Cancer services are seeing considerably fewer referrals this year compared to the same time 12 months ago. Treatment is often more effective when cancer isdiagnosed at an early stage, therefore it is important that those with concerning symptoms are identified as soon as possible.

London Southend Airport has launched a new testing unit for travellers

London Southend Airport has opened a not-for-profit private Covid-19 testing facility for travellers.
Holidaymakers can book tests at the clinic as of today, whether before departure or after arrival back into the UK.
An increasing number of countries demand a private Covid-19 negative test certificate on arrival, and under the new ‘Test to Release’ programme people arriving back into the UK can reduce their quarantine from ten days down to five, with a negative Covid result.
Glyn Jones, CEO London Southend Airport, said: “We are pleased to offer not-for-profit testing as we welcome passengers back to the airport for travel over the festive period.

The long-awaited ‘Test to Release’ service, which offers the opportunity to cut post-travel quarantine to just five days, is already struggling to keep up with demand – with one business publicly appealing to be removed from the list due to an “overwhelming” volume of enquiries.
