A former police officer who had reportedly faced drug charges was gunned down by six unidentified men in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City Saturday night.
Police identified the fatality as Rodolfo Aspril, 60, ex-o of Barangay Old Balara. He previously faced charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Investigation revealed Aspril was going home onboard a motorcycle with Lea Ross, 42, at around 6:45 p.m. when he was ambushed.
Six unidentified men onboard three motorcycles shot Aspril multiple times, killing him instantly. The assailants fled, carting away his motorcycle as Ros, who was unhurt, sought police assistance.
