After nearly two years in the works, it appears that Paul Qui’s return to Houston’s dining scene will happen sooner rather than later.
Back in 2019, Eater reported that Qui would open a restaurant at forthcoming food hall Post HTX, which is expected to open sometime this year inside Downtown’s Barbara Jordan post office building. Now, new filings with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicate that Qui’s restaurant at the food hall will be called the Outpost, though no further details on the project have been announced just yet.
The hot chicken war is getting hotter. Los Angeles chain Dave s Hot Chicken just opened an outlet in a brand-new apartment building at Broadway and Bayaud Street, right across the street from Denver s second Voodoo Doughnut. What do the two have in common? They re both loud, brash and fun, enticing customers with bright colors and over-the-top eats. And they re both from out of town, which is unusual for this stretch of Broadway, where weird and independent (or weirdly independent) have been the trademark since before the time when the currently shuttered Punch Bowl Social which helped earn the stretch the nickname SoBro was a Big Lots.

The Menominee River, named after the Menominee Indians of Wisconsin, is the largest river system in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It forms the border between northeast Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is currently the focus of a struggle over a proposed metallic sulfide mine known as the Back Forty Project.
