Photo: Author provided Books10 hours ago America’s Beat generation legend Lawrence Ferlinghetti once said, “Pradip Choudhuri’s poetry proves that poetry is still the desiring machine of our dreams, the hungry beast that devours us all.” Choudhuri, one of the most important poets of Bengal’s iconic Hungry Generation literary movement of the 1960s, died after testing positive for COVID-19 in the early hours of April 25. He was 78.
