Laya Health and Wellbeing Clinic Limerick opens
The €2m private clinic provides a seven-day walk-in urgent care service
A €2 million urgent care needs clinic is being opened this week by private health insurer, Laya Healthcare, in Caherdavin, Limerick.
According to a company spokesperson, the launch this week is to alleviate the strain on hospital emergency departments in the region.
A statement from the health insurer stated that Laya Health and Wellbeing Clinics were open from 10am to 10pm, 365 days a year, and were accessible to patients as young as 12 months, both Laya Healthcare members and non-members.

The Laya Health & Wellbeing Clinic is located at the former Ivan’s Bakery in Caherdavin
The 7,416 sq ft facility has created over 20 jobs and is the third such clinic to open nationally.
Healthcare services include walk-in urgent care for the treatment of minor injuries along with video consultation for minor illnesses for patients as young as 12 months.
In a statement, Laya Healthcare says “With recent laya healthcare research revealing that one in five are delaying getting treatment or advice during COVID-19, the new clinic offers a safe and welcoming environment for those seeking treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.”
