Biography
Lawrence M. Weiss is a Non-Executive Director of the UK Export Finance (UKEF) Board. He is the Chair of the UKEF Audit Committee, and is a member of the Risk Committee as well as the Remuneration Committee. From 2017 to 2019 he was a member of the Department for International Trade (DIT) Audit & Risk Assurance Committee. Since 2014 Lawrence has also served on a variety of Boards in the private sector.
Lawrence was the Chief Executive Officer of Bank Leumi (UK) plc from 2008 to 2014. During that period he served as a member of the World Division Committee of the Association of Foreign Banks. From 1990-2008, he held a number of senior management positions in the oil division of Glencore, including responsibility for large project financing in developing countries and Head of Global Credit Risk Management.
