OGDENSBURG Ogdensburg City School District Board of Education members and school officials recently discussed possibly testing students for COVID-19.
St. Lawrence County schools will be required to test 20% of students and staff if the region enters a “Yellow Zone” due to a COVID outbreak.
The district sent permission slips to parents seeking permission for students to be tested for COVID-19 at school. Students will not be required to take a test if parents do not wish to.
The Board met for a regular meeting Dec. 21, which was streamed live on Facebook. District Assistant Superintendent Jacquelyn Kelly gave the Board the opportunity to ask questions about the new state requirement.
