Zionsville firefighter arrested on preliminary child porn charges, police say Lawrence Andrea, Indianapolis Star UP NEXT
A Zionsville firefighter was arrested Tuesday morning after Twitter notified authorities someone was using the social media platform to upload child porn, according to Lebanon police.
Daniel Stevens, 47, of Whitestown, was arrested on a preliminary charge of child exploitation; possession of child pornography, the Lebanon Police Department said in a release.
About 8:45 a.m., authorities served search warrants at a residence in Whitestown and the Zionsville Fire Department Station 91 in connection to the incident. Stevens is a firefighter with the department, police said.
The investigation into Stevens began after Lebanon Police Detective Amy Dickerson, who is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, received a cyber tip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that a Twitter account was uploadin
