Margaret Elone Lane
Margaret Elone Lane, 94, formerly of Church Street, Calcutta, Ohio went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2021 from complications due to Covid.
She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on May 2, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Lawrence Pethtel and Iva (Hastings) Pethtel. Living all her life in the area, she graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1944 and worked from 1944 to 1946 during World War II at the Office Price Administration in support of the war effort.
On October 4, 1946 she married the love of her life, Rev. Harry J. Lane, who preceded her in death on January 14, 2011. Together they built the Prayer Temple Tabernacle and devoted their lives to serving God through their church ministry, tent revivals, camp meetings, and city-wide campaigns overseas. Margaret was the Head Secretary and Organist/Pianist at Prayer Temple all the while organizing and working tirelessly beside her husband to further God’s mission within the churc
