Local elections in Hull and across the country on Thursday, May 6 are set to take place in unusual times.
Voters will head to the polls against the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic, a health crisis on a scale not seen since the Spanish Flu outbreak more than a century ago.
The pandemic will make it an election with a difference, but one constant theme which could return are low turnouts which persistently dog council polls.
