The last day of the meet started with a dominant win from Oregon sophomore Cole Hocker and continued with a historic double victory in Saturday’s distance events. Related Story
After breaking the previous collegiate record with his teammate Cooper Teare in February, Hocker didn’t leave anything on the table in his quest to win the NCAA mile crown.
By the bell lap, the race was Hocker’s as he broke away from the field with every step in the final 200 meters, reaching the homestretch clear of any competition.

Harrison Jumps Into The Record Book … Again
Remember back in 2019 when
JuVaughn Harrison of LSU became the first man in the near 100-year history of the
NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships to sweep the high jump and long jump at the same meet?
Well, Harrison did it again on Friday and is the only man to do so indoors, as well. Harrison made it look easy, too.

Don t count on it. Not saying he won t, but it definitely is not guaranteed. He may need a year or two to adjust to the collegiate scene. Maybe he won t develop as much as people think he will. Pressure to make top 10 is a lot for a college frosh.
