Law Society of Hong Kong tables proposal, along with body representing senior media executives, on Article 23 legislation views, before its 30-day consultation ends on Wednesday.
Leung says the draft legislation for Article 23 comparable with countries such as Singapore, which recently acted against a Hong Kong-born citizen under a law to counter foreign interference.
Hong Kong’s Yang & Yang Solicitors, which spun off last year from Deloitte Legal, has hired veteran corporate lawyer Rossana Chu as a partner. Chu was previously the managing partner of LC Lawyers, EY’s Hong Kong law firm, which closed recently.
