looked at and interviewed as finalists, they consider all of them to be confirmable. i always thought the president should select somebody outside the judicial monastery as savannah guthrie said, that didn t always used to be the way it is now where the only way you get on the supreme court is by going to law school, clerking for and judge, becoming a judge and then getting appointed. i would say somebody that s actually lived outside of a law school library actually could bring a different and i think important world view to the court. agree with that. there s a strong feeling given that most of the appointees have recently come out of the judicial fraternity. that was time to move outside. this is a strength of hers, not a weakness, in the sense this is a unique advantage she ll bring to the court and given her personality and experience, that s a valid assessment.
