gone. listen, we haven t seen anything, yet. maybe we will, but that april 1st gag order clearly put trump on notice that if he violates it, he could be sanctioned, pursuant to new york judiciary law 751. let s go back to section 751. it states that punishment for a contempt may be by fine, not exceeding $1000, or by imprisonment, not exceeding 30 days, or both, in the discretion of the court. the prosecution seeks a $1000 fine for each violation and for trump to have to remove the offending post. in the original motion for contempt, they asked the judge to warn trump that if he continued to violate the gag order that trump could be put in jail for up to 30 days. there is also the request for other such relief as the court deems just and proper. that opens the door for judge merchan to craft creative penalties for trump that would send the right message. on tuesday, judge merchan has the opportunity to protect the integrity of this trial. trump should be punished for his flagrant dis
