GLEN CARBON The village public services committee unanimously voted in favor of a $1 million intergovernmental agreement with the city of Edwardsville Monday for its proposed ice rink, track facility and teen center, TheCENTER.
Mayor Hal Patton and other city officials have been trying to engage the village in a partnership deal on this project for several months. EDWARDSVILLE – With two members constituting a quorum, the city’s administrative and community service (ACS) meeting went forward Thursday. Alderman William Krause was excused.
Of the issues discussed, three stood out an annexation north of Anderson Hospital’s Goshen Campus, putting video gaming on the April 6, 2021, ballot and discussion about Glen Carbon’s amendments to a $1 million intergovernmental agreement with the city for TheCENTER.
First, the committee discussed the village’s three proposed amendments to the agreement. Glen Carbon asked for three modifications, which were discussed somewhat at the village’s Dec. 8 meeting. Mayor Hal Patton told the village trustees this project has been in the works since 2014.
