Amundi chooses head of new OCIO solutions unit

Amundi chooses head of new OCIO solutions unit Laurent Tignard was named head of Amundi s new OCIO solutions division, a spokesman confirmed. Mr. Tignard leads the newly formed department, which has €45 billion ($54.8 billion) in assets, the spokesman added. The firm has been offering outsourced CIO solutions to external clients since 2009. The OCIO unit forms part of Amundi s multiasset investment platform and covers areas including tactical asset allocation, governance and strategy, portfolio and risk management, asset-liability management and risk overlays. OCIO solutions brings together 28 Amundi professionals from Paris, Milan, Munich and Hong Kong and will leverage the more than 200 staff members working on the multiasset investment platform.

Amundi creates outsourced CIO solutions division

In a statement, it said it had formally established the division “against a backdrop of increasingly complex operational and investment challenges for institutional investors, exacerbated by the recent crisis”. Embedded in Amundi’s multi-asset investment platform, the new division combines 28 OCIO experts, dedicated to specific client types, including pension funds. The new arrangement is intended to help address clients’ strategic, investment and operational needs. OCIO solutions covered include governance and strategy, tactical asset allocation, asset liability management, funds and managers selection, portfolio and risk management, and risk overlays.
