The new father, who leaves behind a 6-month-old son, was returning to the police department when authorities say he was shot and killed in retaliation to an arrest he conducted on his first shift.
A cop's sudden and shocking murder was an ambush, say authorities. Damien Ferguson, aka Luke Ferguson, 43, shot and killed Officer Dylan Harrison, 26, for tasering the suspect's "known associate," according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. As previously reported, the incident sparked a search that investigators say ended at Ferguson's home on Sunday.
Dylan Harrison, 26, joined the Alamo Police Department to save enough money for a home. He had previously told his father about policing: Daddy, this is what I was put here to do.
