Following a sold-out screening of Buttons, Zips and Belt Buckles in the National Opera House, Deirdre Barker has presented cheques of €1500 to Family Carers Wexford and €1000 to St Bridget’s Day Centre. The film documented Deirdre’s experiences of living with dementia as her husband Ed battled the condition on a daily basis, and with both Family Carers Wexford and St Bridget’s having provided invaluable support to the couple during their journey she decided to donate the takings to the two charities.
