The B.C. government has filed a lawsuit against the owners of three commercial properties in Richmond that were allegedly growing large quantities of illegal cannabis for the black market.
The properties on Westminster Highway and Blundell Road in Richmond were the scenes of raids last fall stemming from a Delta Police investigation into drug trafficking.

At the time, Delta Police said officers seized more than 18,000 plants and 1,394 pounds of dried cannabis that were being produced under the guise of medical marijuana licences but were actually for illicit sales.
