JOHNSON CITY (WBNG) With mask mandates coming to an end across New York on Wednesday, there is still confusion with regards to where face coverings are still required. One of the industries in limbo is hair salons.
Due to the close contact nature of the business, the state of New York is requiring hair salons and barbershops to continue social distancing practices and face mask use for both employees and patrons until more details come out.
Specifically, details about how businesses can know who is and who is not vaccinated. Lauren Grier, the Manager at Hair Kitchen, knows how tricky the situation can be.
