Cotswold District Council is recruiting a design team to explore options for a potential rethink of Cirencester town centre [Deadline: 12 April 2021]
The team selected for the estimated £15,000 to £30,000 will complete a feasibility study looking at the potential for future redevelopment opportunities within the centre of the historic Cotswolds town.

The study will explore how changing retail patterns and high-street usage will impact demand for Cirencester’s existing town centre car parks and determine whether or not a redevelopment masterplan should be commissioned.
According to the brief: ‘The council needs to know how the town centre is likely to change over the next 30 years and how this may affect demand for off-street public car parking. The rate of change in the “traditional high street” is a complex and dynamically-evolving situation.
