The Federal Court’s associate chief justice reserved decision on Monday on the first step in an unprecedented court action between the federal government and gun owners across the country.
Associate Chief Justice Jocelyne Gagné reserved a decision after eight hours of argument in an attempt by gun owners to get a court order suspending the Liberal ban on thousands of semi-automatic rifles and other weapons until a wider court challenge against the prohibition, by the same groups of challengers who want the order struck down entirely, is complete.
