The largest forest fire on record in Nova Scotia displaced roughly 6,700 people and destroyed about 60 homes in Shelburne County. For many of the people affected, it will take a long time to process it all.
Volunteers in Shelburne, N.S., have transformed the Birchtown Community Hall into a meal distribution centre for firefighters and a gathering place for people in need of a hot meal.
